Can bad credit cost you a job? August 28, 2009

It’s highly possible. But it’s best to show some effort and within this economy we have all fallen victim. It just dumped harder once we either lost our jobs, were on unemployment and such.

Don’t let it eat you up, try your best to stay on top. Noboby’s perfect, even the successful business-minded professional who even had or saved a lot of money or invested, could also hit rock bottom.

All it takes is a change in your current job status or even something like a medical reason or health. Read the current posting on Harassment from Credit Collections.

Getting harassed by Debt Collectors? August 28, 2009

Folks, we have all been there, done that. We either worked the job as a collector or were the victim of some of these collections agencies.

You are not alone and within this current economic downfall, we are all struggling to make ends meet, lose our homes and then we lose our jobs that forces us to become default on those accounts.

You already made the decision or choice of what’s important and let those accounts go. There’s nothing we can do to prevent it. Banks are failing and continue to fail.

Out of Work? August 18, 2009

This article must be a joke right?  Well, guess there’s a lot of legwork that needs to be done to find something, especially in the I.T. industry. Most are programmers. There aren’t a lot of Telecommunications or Technical jobs that I have seen, heard or found.

But, wait, I.T. jobs out in this locale are scarce to NULL so this may be the small-fine print not mentioned. Who am I kidding, right?

This article can prove valuable to some. Maybe helpful, but I have yet to see results on my end.

I’m not knocking the process, I’ve been there and have been running it for over a year, and it is true that you better your interviewing process or tactics. But it’s a doggy-dog world.  Me, the experienced against the certified & unemployed man in this industry, becomes most challenging.

My job realization August 18, 2009

I have spent the last 7+ yrs at my present location and for the past 4-years, I had gone back to school, before the economy took a dump; I held on to my current position.  Hopeful that something better would come along or I would continue to grow with my now ‘former’ employer. Just long enough for me to secure another position, hopefully outside of the locale.

I had already begun my search outside of the state, focusing on the west coast, excluding California (as I have spent most of my life there). I want to experience a new area, a new atmosphere and the culture.  I have considered Utah, Washington state, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and even as far as Colorado and Arizona.  New Mexico may be added to the list, but I’m not sure where my children and I will end up. I try not to focus too much on the location, but more on the job.  Where does it take me? What will it offer?, etc.

But, in this economy with this recession, beggars cannot be choosers.  Whatever I can secure, wherever the job takes me, if I go alone, I go solo and commute to spend as much time with my kids, until they are out of school and relocate with me. But rather than just move at the first job, I would rather get myself settled first to insure I’m set before I push for them to move. They are in middle school and high school, so I don’t have to worry too much about them.

I have to weigh the pros and cons to make sure I cover my bases. I know I can work it, I know I will succeed. It’s just at this time, things are a bit slow, but promising.

As I battle with my daily routine, sometimes doubt lingers and peaks it’s ugly head, but I regain myself, my thoughts and meditate to release the negatives that doubt brings with it.

So here’s to my Future job search successes.  Blessings to those who are also still struggling, even after college to find that ideal job — DON’T GIVE-UP, Nor Give-IN!

Stay focused, Optimistic and keep moving forward.  Learn from this time and strengthen your job search tactics.  Whatever you must do to spruce-up your resume, or even take a job outside of your norm, Go For It!!

Here’s an additional link to the previous post.

Folks, be careful, make sure you are protected both on your computer (through a CURRENT Virus security protection software). Contact your vendor of your virus software or even check their website for further information to insure you are protected.

Also, make sure that you review everything about the virus before you make any assumptions and start to panic.  Don’t panic!!  Not yet.

Many times the Cyber Virus attacks are not email related, or even bank related. Just be prepared and be cautious.

Contact your local I.T. Professional, NOT GEEK SQUAD; as these places have  access to more utilities or sites to review whether or not it is a Hoax Virus or to obtain protection, if needed.

Here’s to your Cyber Experience……  Enjoy it, Love it, but also protect it.

Computer Hackers cost millions !@#$%^& August 16, 2009

Why do they bother? Because these hackers have nothing better to do. Or they are addicted to causing havoc. Maybe they were framed by other Hackers. Who knows or cares. It gives them only enough notice, NOT FAME (ie: 15-seconds) before they’re caught, jailed, go to court and then try to appeal. No one remembers them, no one wants to know them.

America wants to feel safe no matter what sex, race, religion we are, we want to enjoy our life and the technology that is provided for us to achieve the enjoyment and pleasure it gives us; whether it would be shopping online, reading an article, typing of a blog or journal.  Whatever we use technology for, we want to keep it private (to an extent, especially when doing banking online or at the Office) Most importantly, we want it to be safe and fun.

Hackers have been around for many years and as soon as some of these programming geeks figure out how to type-up a simple string of code, test it and implement out into the cyber communities, they want to see what their code can do.  Great!!  But there are other ways to test codes. Once that code is out there and starts doing what it was designed to do, the virus infection has begun. Whether it is stealing our identities, our money, or robbing people for sport, or infecting company computers, it takes the fun out of technology.

Some should ask themselves, is it worth getting caught? Do you think you’re not being watched? C’mon, we live in today’s technology, there’s so much security out there that you don’t see or even know exists. We are being protected and by attempting to break that protection or even succeeding it, only ends up haunting you for the rest of your life, because you won’t have one once you are caught.  Your enjoyment in Technology has ended.

The economy is in such a bind as it is and stealing from larger or small corporations & other businesses, only hinders the economy’s regrowth. With all these virus attacks, codes stealing from companies even before the economy took a nose-dive, only made the outlook much more fearful.

We are afraid to spend, or even pay a bill online. Technology has made our lives much more easier but also much more difficult. As we await for more Cyber Security protection, we have to be diligent in our efforts as computer users.

If you are within the U.S. we don’t take lightly, or play. If you are caught, that’s it.  Bye-Bye!!

Below is an article on Computer Hackers costing us millions.
